Kitsap Cesarean and VBAC Support Group

I am the space holder and facilitator of the Kitsap Cesarean and VBAC Support Group, established in spring of 2015.   I saw a need for the group after childbirth students had cesarean births and no one to turn to. So, I jumped in and made this support group happen.

I had a cesarean birth with my first boy spawn, due to surprise breech presentation and has had three subsequent VBACs.

My co-facilitator is Megan Jennings of Moon River Birth Services. She has also had a cesarean birth and is truly a magnificent human being.

If you are a mother/birthing person who has had a cesarean, please feel free to request to join the closed Facebook group and please share the link with others who have had cesareans as well.

We are a supportive, caring group where women and partners can talk about and share their cesarean or VBAC experience, find resources to help prepare for and recover from a cesarean, help each other heal emotionally, mentally, and physically and find encouragement while pursuing VBAC, HBAC, or CBAC. (vaginal birth after cesarean, home birth after cesarean, cesarean birth after cesarean)

This group was created by modeling after our sister group,  The Tacoma Cesarean and VBAC Support Group created and led by the lovely Patti Ramos.

“How a woman gives birth matters – to her baby’s long-term health, to her family, and to her mental and physical health and her self-confidence and self-esteeem as a woman and a mother…

How a woman is cared for and supported during birth is a major influence, not only in how she gives birth but also in how she feels about it.”
